Maximising your Mazdas’ drive-ability

Mazda car tuning tips and advice. We have a wide range of tuning articles covering all models of Mazda from small engined 323 and the 3 family cars to large engine hot hatches including the classic 323 4×4 rally spec car all the way up to executive cars such as the 626 and 6. Following our tuning tips you will avoid many of the common mistakes and actually achieve the car setup you desire. TorqueCars started providing Mazda mod advice, car tuning and car performance help and pointers back in 2003 and have grown from strength to strength with a fast growing membership of all types of cars including many,Mazda owners. RX7 Tuning modifications and performance parts

The RX7 was the car that made the Rotary engine cool.With a displacement of only 1400cc it matches the power output of engines nearly twice that size.

The beauty of the Rotary engine is that it can enjoy much higher speeds without being subject to the same internal forces as a reciprocating engine.

This means that you have a lot of scope for increasing the power without having to resort to extensive modifications. The turbo engine gives a lot of scope for tuning with the addition of a larger turbo, a hybrid turbo (uprated internals in a standard case) or a twin turbo setup. We look at the tuning options for the RX7.

RX8 performance Tuning modifications remaps and turbo kits.

Mazda had great success with the RX7 and proved that a rotary engined car can be fun to drive. The successor came in the form the lovely RX8. It was leaps and bounds better than the RX7 in many respects.

The angular lines, edgy design and interior trim all won the hearts of RX8 around the world. Mazda dumped the Wankel engine in preference to their latest development the Renesis rotary engine.

Ivo Ivanovs street tuned Lada

Meet Ivo Ivanov – ‘master’ from Bulgaria. He sent us some picks from his latest project – it’s always interesting to see what’s hot in other cultures!

Note the ‘Lexus style’ clear light clusters on the rear and the huge exhaust. You could almost stealth launch missiles from these things. It would make an interesting James Bond (007) car certainly more individual than the Aston Martins.
