The Torque Meister
Got this idea of another thread. When tightening up nuts (wheel bearings etc,) does anyone take account of the torque or just do it as hard as possible?
When doing wheel bearings on Mk4/5 Escorts used to just use guesswork and a large bar to do them as hard as possible - the manual had a ridiculously high rating and was damn hard to reach this. But think now with the Scooby, if i have to do them, i will follow the book.
Does anyone else take note of the torque measurements for wheel bearing nuts etc,,, when putting them back on?
