Hey, Im new to this forum and im looking for advice on what modifications to make to my 2003 2.0 civic type R. Does anyone know how i can increase the BHP and gain speed and power without spending to much?

hey and welcome to the site mate.

can be hard to increase the power of this cheaply.
full proper cold air intake such as the AEM V2 or gruppe dont even look at cheap options as honda have this engine flowing pretty well.
sports cat would help get the gases out quicker.

other than that your looking at superchargers

Pgarner's right. Generally the more BHP you want the deeper your pockets have to be.
Without going over the top you could fit a cold air induction kit. Fit a De-cat and an aftermarket branched manifold with a full exhaust. Replace the plugs and leads with aftermarket performance one's and also get it chipped. But for the money you spend don't expect alot of bhp gains. Maybe 30-40bhp increase on the mods listed above tops.

Next gets serious money cams, pulleys, porting and polishing the head, gas flowing, getting the crank balanced and knife edged. con rods, pistons supercharger. But thats gonna cost.
