What oil goes in my a3 18t diff?

The saga of my rear diff continues.The recon diff I got from a chorley based company was not what was ordered so we sent it back.(still in dispute and no refund).So I was wondering,would a new haldex filter and fresh oil possibly stop the burring noise the car makes when slowing.Also would I be right to assume that the diff itself needs oil aswell,or does the haldex oil do that job.If the diff needs oil whats the best to use.

Rear diff 75-90 synthetic gl5 as supplied by Audi. Are we talking rear diff or the Haldex oil?

The Haldex oil is apparently different from the rear diff oil.
