To be honsest i think the fella selling it is getting a new car and just wants some money towards it. Its a sound car, my uncle is a mechanic and he works with the fella selling it and he had a look at it and said everthing was in order so it sounds good anyway but i didnt get a chnce to drive it yet, only seen some pictures of it.
I'd like to use it as a daily driver but yet still have enough power there when i want it. I'm not 100% sure that it is stripped out i think he could have just been talking about bucket seats, racing steering wheel and maybe some harnesses but i'm not sure to be honest.
Do you think i should focus my attention on the handeling and upgrade the suspension or fous on moding the engine?
To be honest you just need to modify, in moderation in both areas,
there are plenty of things to like about the 106 in standard form however, it can be improved on, suspension wise, powerflex do a complete set of suspension bushes for the 106 (unlike the 306 where they did a half ass job)
I mean ARB bushes and front wishbone bushes and rear beam mountings,
Spoox Motorsport do a wide array of suspension mods, they have a Bilstein group n suspension kit (dampers) that will work wonders for the car and I would personally advise getting Eibach springs,
engine wise, you say you want a daily driver, then turbo would be a good way to go, Speak to DP engineering, they specialise in turbos for pugs and citorens, something else to consider as well if you want more power is to upgrade the driveshafts as the standard ones on 106's are known to be weak so some 2 piece items are preferred,
there is far more you can do with these cars and I've just touched on some stuff, if there are any specifics you want to know about that I haven't covered (or anything else) then just holla....
