Cutting corners - do you or dont you

How many take the racing line round a roundabout or cutting corners but obviously only when it is safe to do so?

I am of the view that if the road is empty then I may as well make use of both sides.:)

would want to, but its just not worth it, other drivers might not be able to think as fast as you can drive, being in the wrong lane on a roundabout could cause some mildly lethal inconvenience if someone chooses to appear at the junction.

People can't just appear at junctions or roundabouts. They have to approach from somewhere.

I see nothing wrong with using 'unorthodox' lane discipline if it will have no effect upon other road users.

If your observation is up to standard you'll know whether or not it's safe to adjust the rules.

I often do this but only where safe. I would argue it is safer to use the whole road width than try to stick in a narrow section on a sharp bend.

Single lines still apply on empty roads though.;)
