Ok so this tddi 2.0 mondeo ive just bought, the header tank was full of black gunk and so was the power steering tank, my dad said it could be the head gasket thats about to go, so today we have took out the header tank and blasted it out and we sucked out most of the power steering liquid (that was thick and black) and put fresh in!! Filled header back up with just water for now!! But the black rubber pipes that lead to the header tank were blocked with black thick crap so we have took them off and cleared them out! Put it all back together and started the car and me dad seems to think its defo not the head gasket now but thinks the water pump and steering pump may be mixing together?? Is this possible and if so what am I guna have to do to sort it? Cheers folks!!!
