I'm looking at getting a "greddy" turbo timer. Does anybody know if they make a wireing harness to fit an a3, or how hard it would be to do without one. Does it mess with the imobiliser?

in all honesty mate there is no real need for 1 just drive steady for the last 5 minutes of your destination
but if you do go for 1 they are really simple to wire in and yes it does have to bypass the imobiliser and the insurance know this! so a turbo timer will effect your premium aswell

also theres some legality to then as your leaving the car running unattended, this is unlawful.
some of the 1.8t have an after run pump which kicks in when the engines switched off to circulae oil and water around the turbo. Fit a oil temp guage and let that drop down to around 85-90 degrees before switching off
