It seems to me that there is a certain split in the saab community, between pre and post GM. This does no-one any favours
when is a saab not a saab?

Same with any car brand that goes through changes of ownership. None of the 'purists' like Ford owned Jags for instance.

Ironically it takes a while for the new parent companies tech to filter into the model line ups. There are many that are biased but it doesn't make sense to me. A Saab should be a Saab, regardless of who made it.
