What was the first time you discovered it was better to go slow into a corner and fast out, rather than trying to maintain a higher average speed through the bend?
For me it was quite early on in go carting. None of my friends seemed to pick up on it for a while so I dominated the lap times. I just slowed right up on a corner so I could blast out onto the straight, they all kept going full pelt into the corner and losing speed or skidding on the apex and took a while to catch up with me.
Since then I've been interested in finding the perfect racing lines, cornering balance, straight line cornering and left foot braking.
