Hi all, how goes it.
Anyone want to help with a tonneau problem?
I've just bought a 1995 900 convertible. Does anyone know a Tech 2 technician or similar in cornwall who could help with my roof problem:-
The rear window raises as it should, and the roof presumably will retract once the tonneau cover opens. BUT the cover does not open - I can hear the motor trying to do something. The universal joint was broken/twisted and the pin broken - and where the joint fits to the arm leading to the tonneau motor, the square end on the arm is also twisted. I have just ordered a new universal joint, but wondered if anyone could advise why the joint would have broken and arm twisted? I'm worried that once I fit a new universal joint and bend the arm back straight, the same thing could happen again?
There's a Tech 2 man in Derby who says he can fix the problem for 150 quid, but he's too far away for me to get to. Does anyone know of a specialist more local to me in Cornwall who could help at a reasonable price.
Any help would be very much appreciated. Many thanks guys! :cheesy:
