ok, my 206 has a small indiactor problem but its pretty serious as i cant use me indicators properly. When i indicate right or left when the steering wheel clicks back the idicator keep going right or switches to right. I have just found the problem a small loose wire that goes into a metal pin that then clicks into the indicator stalk do i

A. take it to garage ?
B. get the pin out and refit it ?
C. buy a new plastic bit ?

common problem with the 206, take the pin out and you'll see it's worn flat, turn it by 45 degrees and put it back together, my wife's 206 has been fine for over a year since i did hers.

I'm sure the Starlett manual says you need to remove the gearbox and bleed the brakes to do that! Or is this just what main dealers would have us believe?;)

The best example of OTT dealer labour I've experienced was this:

Replace brake pedal switch which had failed open circuit (not the one for the brake lights, the one for the cruise control).

Dealer 7 hours and £70/hour to remove fascia and steering column to gain access to switch. (Switch itself £8 plus VAT). Total £585.15 (old VAT rate ay 17.5%)

Local Peugeot specialist managed to replace the switch with the fascia and steering column in place in just over 5 minutes!!!! Total £9.40 for switch and no labour charged at all so I happily handed over a couple of bottles of Californian Red as a token of my gratitude.

mmm is a brake light switch not normally close to the brake pedal ? shouldnt have to remove the steering column to get to that, work must have been slow that month
