hello all, new to mitsubishi, lots of experience with toyota though, i recently bought a 87' ram d-50 a.k.a mighty max, it has a 4g54 engine 2.6, the head has what is called the "jet valve" for emission purposses, which allows for the swirl affect, haven't found a whole lot of info on this, but i am looking at removing and plugging in order to raise compression, as well as put an end to running lean without adjusting the carb, simplely, can this be done ?

well, from the looks of it, i am going to have to experiment, i think brass would be to soft to use as a plug, the head is aluminum, maybe i can find some to fit into the combustion chamber

I did do some digging and asking but no-one could shed any light on this. Sorry - it makes your research all the more vital, this thread could be the first documented online reference to this mod.
