I´d like to introduce myself: Living in Germany, driving Volvos for almost my whole life I had them all from PV444 to 1800ES. 140s, 164s, 240s, 740s 850 have been my "bread and butter cars". My everydays car now is a 960II 3,0 and I love it almost as much as the 1800ES. The ES´s nickname in Germany is somewhat like "snowwhite´s coffin". Might be a good idea to keep it since I´m 69 years by now.

Sorry for my poor english, its just a left over from my military service time. Just good enough to get along somehow. No good for writing stories.

Have a good time,
Sigi

Hello Siggy no need to apologize as your English is far far better than my German.
I had a 142 with a worked motor that had Alfa rods and VW pistons a ported head and twin side draft Webbers and a steel case Celica 5 speed box and it ran 14 second 1/4 miles and wiped the smug smiles off a few faces.
