Fuel saving tyres - do they work

Have you ever tried fuel saving tyres, such as Michelin Energy?

Did they make much difference to your fuel consumption?

We put them on our Corolla and it did seem to make a bit of an improvement. They just didn't seem as grippy as the previous set though.
 
WE have Michelin E3Bs on the Seat. No discernable difference in fuel usage but they do seem to wear well. Grip wise it's not really the right kind of car to experiment with but it does hang on quite well.
