Childhood dream car?

What was your dream car when you was a child. We all had 1. I know i did every time i saw an Escort Cosworth my eyes where glued to it. So come on what was your dream car as a child?

Ferrari F40 when I was very young, which then got replaced by the Mazda RX7 when I was a teenager

I loved the Lamborghi Countach - I had a poster of the White Anniversary model in my bedroom. I had an F40 1/20th Scale model as well.

i always wanted a skyline! still would too!

i had two. owned both, both totaled the same way, almost. first was a 1973 chevrolet corvette stingray with a 400 big block. my sister borrowed it and got hit by a semi after her foot slipped off the clutch at a red light. second was 1995 nissan 300zx twin turbo. Drunk driver hit her.

When I was about seven or eight my Dads mate had an John Player Lotus Esprit which I adored, It was like Christmas when he came to visit as he would take me around the block in it. I also had the OO7 Lotus toy (the sub one) which was my favorite as well :bigsmile:

Always fancied doing something to make a Volvo 760 Turbo (petrol, in case anyone's wondering!) really, really go. I was about 14 at the time so this is more an adolescence dream car.

Childhood: I think an Alfa GTV6 was the kiddie

Datsun Skylines were quite different when I was a lad!

The GTV was probably the first engine I heard and that sounded special!

It's always been Skylines for me too. R33 GTR in white or midnight purple, or R34 GTR in (bayside?) blue. I think I'm going straight to one of those after the Punto tbh, which is why I'm making it into a big project and planning to keep it for a couple of years.

Late I took a liking to the Tickford Capri Turbo.

I often wondered whether anyone would do a V8 Esprit. And they did. About ten years later.

until i started driving then it was a stingray or a 68 mustang fastback

Mustang for me I think. but then thats only going back to like 5 or 6 years ago, I can't really remember before then. Hell, I can barely remember what happend yesterday. Where am I? who are you guys? o.0

Currently have a whole heap of dream cars. but can't really recall my childhood deam cars. would have been something huge, infact I think I just imagined like massive cars that were half theme parks or limos with swimming pools in them etc... Sounds about right for me. Why do i still not have one of them? :-( So that'd probably be RVs then actually
