Best country for a driving holiday

What is the best country to go through if you wanted a good driving holiday.

I like the sound of Switzerland with the pretty scenery but Im sure there are probably better roads, and better scenery.

What countries have you driven through and would you recommend it?

Parts of Scotland and Wales are very nice.

i love driving round cornwall and they class them selves as another country

France has some lovely long roads with nice scenery, especially down South. They also don't seem to have the same congestion issues we have (Unless you are on the Paris Ring road at peak times!)

Germany, Holland, Belgium (north) have good roads the same as France really, I drove through Luxembourg, lovely scenery but the roads are around mountains 10mph jobs and a bit scary, out of the above I would opt for Holland....so smooth and flat.

north of scotland where your down to single track roads, lovely switchbacks on the hills, empty roads and not far to go really
