Astra G 1.6 vs Golf V TDI

What do you think, who is better in drag and faster on small distance?
Astra G 1.6 16v 100ps 1200kg?
Golf V 1.9 TDI 105ps 1400kg?

I would say the Diesel. The torque and low rev band plus the engine weight over the driven wheels mean acceleration is not wasted in wheelspin.

i would also say diesel but it way be close to begin with after youve had both remapped and intake exhaust work (ie spending less than £1000) the golf would trounce it basic remaps n 100ps engine can give back 130

over long distances the diesel all the way look at lemans and other long endurance races the diesels are slowly coming up simple because they dont use as much fuel

I'm sorry but my english is to bad with car's terminology? Can you explain excatly what do you mean? Car weight are diffrent, if i right? And horse power are similar.
