astra 2.2 help needed

driving localy i have no problem all though the car dosnt like gear changing over 3500 revs it prefers lower 2500- 3000, it just feels crap if i do change higher, like it feels weak even tho it never has not gone in gear, but wen traveling long distance even on motorway so no gear changing il cum to the roundabout or sumink, and the gear selector will be stiff, ie put clutch down and yank gear into position, once in the gear changes fine, iv been told gear selector problem, but is so why only wen driving for an hour or so, wud changing the gear oil do anything ? its all gears stiff btw

whats i like with the engine off?

with engine off all is fine, if i leave it to cool down a bit it gets better, leave it for an hour and its like fresh again only does it wen driving for an hour or so, it heats up fine ie 10mins and is good until an hour or so thn it stiffens up, less time if guning it, something over heating ? i fort once warmed up it stays at that temp, so after 15mins or so, wud stay at that temp no mata how long turned on?

is there oil in it ? sounds stupid but the metal might be expanding more as theres no oil to help out with the cooling

to be honest i dont kno i havnt had it looked at yet, wanted to ask u lot instead of handing over my wallet, aparantly on the bertone u have to put it on a ramp to even check it out

should be able to lift it high enough on axle stands,
if not a retubile garage shouldnt charge too much to rack it up and undo a bolt

guess i should start with the oil then, if theres not any im gune fire bomb the old owners house, cuz why wudnt there be any, or more likly not enough, cheers mate

will probably work out cheaper checking it 1st as its easier to do rather than swapping linkaes etc

might never have been changed and degraged so much. could have a small leak etc
