Thats so true but unfortunately the previous owners didn't follow this advice and i had to deal with the problem but hey its done now and it will be regularly serviced as it is supposed to be.

Noise still there after oil change so got it booked in with a BMW specialist next week who will strip down the engine and find out what the exact problem is but he suspects that it is the hydraulic tappets. Unfortunately i am going to fork out the bill as the noise is driving me round the bend...
i will do its going down to bmw the morn for them to pinpoint this noise coud u point me in the way as to were the oil filter is as cant bloody fined it in the engine bay and i dont see it on the engine block
