No probs...yeah I thought there wouldn't be an easy answer to this one. Probably best to ignore groups and just base everything on quotes for different cars.
Has anyone ever come across or know of a why to find out the rough cost of an insurance premium in relation to an insurance group? I know that usually with insurance there are a lot of variables involved, but just wondered if there is a general guideline anywhere.
Cheers
Hehe...yeah, I recently got the diesel bug too! Originally got it after driving a Kia Cee'd 1.6 CRDi LS courtesy car, when the turbo kicks in on that it's incredibly fun. Couldn't afford one of those unfortunately, so invested in a Corsa 1.7 CDTi - not as fun, even though it's better on paper...
Have there been any cars (reasonably priced..say under 15K) you've (anybody) driven which have really surprised you in regards to power and acceleration?
Look forward to hearing your experiences.
Yeah, I've done that before, but I really want to get a feel for what they're like on the road as I'm considering investing in a (slightly old) boxster sometime in the future. I suppose a day with one would be enough to get an idea of what they're like to drive.
Anybody know of a cheap, performance car hire company. There are loads out there, but the cheapest I've found so far is £165 per day, which, if you want to try the car out for more than a day - is quite a lot. Let me know if you have.
Thanks
Just wondering about this as I've heard both good and bad things about the Boxter. What I keep reading about is common problems with the oil seals, which seem to cost a lot to get repaired and there seems to be a problem with the gears crunching from 1st to 2nd - has anyone come across these...
Most of these sites will quote for the old Corsa - the new Corsa (D), 1.7 comes with a basic 123bhp - so I'm expecting to get around 150bhp after a remap. As far as insurance goes, I'm definitely not doing anything until I get a quote and see what the difference is - one of the main reasons for...
gcltuning look like they can do it and at only £310 for their mobile service. I'm waiting on the others. Just need to figure out how much more it's going to cost me in insurance - hopefully not too much more, as that's part of the reason why I got a diesel - low insurance premiums!
Anybody ever heard of one of these being done, 'cause I'm having terrible trouble finding a company that'll do it. I've tried all the obvious ones and they don't do it. It seems the new Astra 1.7 is supported, so why not the Corsa!?
Thanks
Got really angry with the car this morning, felt like there was next to nothing in 1st & 2nd gear - I know there's supposed to be some turbo lag, but even the turbo doesn't feel that impressive when it kicks in. What I can't understand is why a Kia Cee'd 1.6 CRDi LS has so much more kick in it...
The whole thing was dissapointing! Never got to speak to a mechanic, the girl on reception just handed me a filled in form, which looked like they'd just done a service and basically there was no feedback from anybody. Really don't know about the ECU much, so couldn't say. I reckon when I get...
Took it into a Network Q garage on Fri - they couldn't find anything wrong with it, although it is an intermittent problem. So I guess I'll stick with it and see how it goes!
