Car insurance for modified cars.

The most popular Citroen tuning projects tend to be the smaller cars like the Saxo and C1 and C2 models. This is probably because these cars are cheaper to insure but the whole Citroen range is quite well built and a lot can be done by way of tuning to improve the engines. The handling on the smaller models is brilliant and on a tight twisty track a light well setup Saxo can beat much larger much more powerful cars through it greater cornering. Add an anti roll bar to a basic car to reduce body roll and drop it about 40mm. The VTS engines are the engines of choice and good candidates for an engine swap when you have a smaller engined model but do remember to tell your insurers! Most of our members with CItroens recommend good assymetric tread tyres and it pays to get the head polished, ported and flowed. It is also worth uprating the braking of the car fitting disks to the rears on rear drum setup cars and going for bigger vented and grooved/drilled disks on the fronts with a fast road pad.

Tip Submitted by Richard Raynor Tip: ebay.co.uk is great place for bargain spares and even complete engines / gearboxes
Extreme auto acessories also have some great value performance & styling parts. Question: I've added a sports exhaust and Air filter what should I do next to boost the power without spending too much money?
Answer: Fit a fuel pressure boost valve - about £100 for more top end power and driveability with a faster throttle response or go for fast road profile cams £200 + Fitting .
