zafira gsi

Hi everyone. Was wondering if anyone could help me. I have a 2003 zafira gsi turbo which i have owned now for approx 10 weeks. I am really pleased with the car lovely to drive and a nice bit of performance when you need it.

But i have a problem! When the car is warm and been parked up for about an hour or so and then restarted it just refuses to start. Sometimes it starts and immediately stops but mostly just turns over but will not fire. If it is left for a period of time or over night it will start straight away as good as gold.

I thought it was the key at first as the key that i got with it was damaged but a new key has not solved the problem. I am wondering if it has something to do with temperature as it always starts from cold but no fault codes were present when it was at the dealers. Hope someone can help.

Sound like it could be a temperature sensor. Do you get a spark and fuel when you turn it over? If you disconnect the air intake sensor does this alter things for the good?

if it was mine first thing i would change is the water temp sensor
go on just about everything
