Hi All,

Currently drive a 1.6 car with NA engine and auto transmission.
Was thinking of changing a stroker kit to improve the performance of the engine.
How can I go about doing it ?

would probably be easier just to find a bigger engine tbh mate. no point getting a 1.6 to a 1.8 by using a stroker kit when you could go out and pick up a 1.8 for less

Stroker kits consist of the following basic components ( remember you get what you pay for )
crankshaft ( with increased throw / offsett on the big end journals )
connecting rods ( custom / h beam performance etc )
pistons ( performance )

i built my motor with a 6 ltr crank from 5.3 ltr
10.5 : 1 short skirt race pistons from 8 : 1 standard bore size ( can go out to 9 lts )
oringed the block to accomidate the higher compression ( not part or the kit )
performance con rods and bolt package

the advantage of the stroker motor is that it develops more torque than a increased bore engine
