I have added cold air induction, K&N filter and sport exhaust. DO I need to remap or will my ecu adjust itself. If I do need to remap who is best for a 2004 Jaguar x-typ3 3.0 v6.

Your performance may benefit from a remap (as it would without any mods) and you will get more power with those mods, but you should notice some improvement without a remap.

What seriously would be the benefits from the three mods mentioned (cold air induction, K&N filter and sport exhaust)? I had an X-Type 3.0 Sport and it's already a quick car but I'm thinking about modding my V8 S-Type in the same way and wonder what the benefits are in terms of performance|BHP/Torque before and after re-map?

The only accurate way IMHO is before and after readings on the same dyno on a day with similar ambient temperatures.

How do you mean we are based in the UK?

I mean Paul that we (TC) are based in the UK and as the OP resides in US-Raleigh NC we cannot really recommend someone local to him who might be off assistance. But, as Abbott Racing in Essex UK deal with Jaguar owners and dealers around the world and specialise in modified cars, that they (because I can at least vouch for this company) might be a good place to start with any recommendations local to the OP :)

But we have members from all over the planet, it (Torque Cars) is not really based anywhere as such, I think.......it's too early in the year for thinking ;) We do have other members in NC

When did these other members in NC materialise and how many were there Paul? You do realise this thread started back in June 2012 o_O

It's more of the change in the power band than any peak power gains in the real world. These mods will give you about 5% more top end power IMO. Low down torque may well suffer as a result though. Nitrous kits work really well on these engines if you wanted a massive power gain that you only use once in a while.

Fast road cams would give you around 10% more power and these would be the best mods on these engine IMO, but you'd need to remap it to get the best out of it.
