once the engine on my pug 306 is up to temperature should i hafto use the glowplugs to start my car.it wont start unless i use glow plugs.any advice much appreciated.cheers chaps.

older diesels still need the glow plugs to be warmed up to start e.g. the glow plug light needs to go of before trying to start

Yes, you should still use the glow plugs even if you hot start mate,

Trust me your engine will thank you for it

Isn't there 3 different glow plugs on the old diesels? 1 slow, 1 medium and 1 fast at warming up or something like that?

Nah it's all the same really, just on really cold days it's good to let the light go off twice.

Must of been different quality of glow plugs then?

Quite possibly, I got NGK ones in mine at the moment and my car starts first time every time without coughing,
I got them for a dime as well....
Stay away from halfrauds own brand there expensive and don't last 5 minutes

Glow plugs do vary widely in quality and longevity.
