Do you get more MPG from higher octane fuel? Does it work out cheaper, about the same or a more if you fill up with it?

My car feels so much quicker when I use high octane fuel. I do also get another 30 miles or so out of a tank which makes quite a difference but I think I tend to drive it harder than I would normally.

Certainly cars set up ron higher ron run better with it and if it runs better you presumably use less right foot for the same performance................
except that i doubt any one does use 97/99 to cut down on the right foot for more mpg

Not relevant to me though as the stagea is mapped for 99 .
