Here goes..,
I totaled my '95 Lexus SC400 3 months ago (entire rear end destroyed)
it has a V8 which ran smooth as glass, still does but is not drivable.
I owned it outright & I didn't have full coverage so now I'm eating it.
I bought an '89 Camaro RS to drive for now, perfect interior, body, paint, 60k miles, etc. I DID NOT KNOW that the radiator only had water in it, so when it dropped below freezing, the freeze plugs popped out. I learned of this 8 miles down the road when my head gasket blew!
Now for the crazy part, has anyone attempted to put a Lexus V8 into a Camaro?
I have the entire drive train, tranny & ECU. etc. I hear it's about $600 to $800.00 to replace head gaskets (mostly labor), so since I have a perfectly good engine it might be cheaper. I've already gone broke with this so I have two cars but can't drive either of them..this sucks!!
Any help or advise would be most welcomed. Thanks.
