Hello Everyone,

I am Sam from Singapore. I just bought a 10years old second hand car and I can use it for another 5years. I read about tuning mod at here and was wondering if it’s suitable for my car? I’m driving an Honda Fit GE6 2009 and I’m new to this. A lot of things to learn on car parts and all. Hope someone can give me advices on this. What torque wrote was

“Some examples of stage 1 mods include, induction kits, panel air filters, sports exhausts, fuel pressure regulators, a simple engine remap or timing changes, blow off valves/divertors and the like.-- Read more at: https://www.torquecars.com/tuning/tuning-stages.php - (c) TorqueCars”

I Google about induction kit and some say it’s not good for small engines. Is that true?

Hope someone can explain to me better and give me some advices what should I do first with the used car. Thanks a lot!

Often low end power is lower with an induction kit fitted.

More air going into the engine makes more power, but this needs to be matched to fuel.

The problem with induction kits is that they suck in warm air from the engine bay, which actually contains less oxygen. For performance a panel air filter made from cotton is best but it's doubtful that your engine needs any more air, unless the factory airbox is useless.

Have a read of this for more info, and welcome to TorqueCars.
