ok i was wondering how you take the headlight unit apart, the front plastic bit, there looks like there are some screws in it some where but no where for me to stick a screw driver! and dont say "just unclip and pull" cos ive tried that and bloody snapped off a clip!

The clips get very brittle with age. They bend a little and should open up. In my car you just undo the 4 clips and the glass comes off.

Warm the clips up a little first with a hairdrier.

lol ive seen some people putting them in ovens

yeah some models the plastic is glued in place, putting them in an oven for around 5 mins at a certain temp the glue softens enough to pull apart without damaging the headlight itself
