Engine conversion in 206 1.1

Im looking into doing a conversion in my 1.1 206 and possibly gonna put in 1.6 as its still very economical statistically. Would that be a straight swap or do I still need to put in other parts. What car should I get as a donor car.

It's going to be cheaper to buy a 1.6 litre model and sell your 1.1 as it is. Insurance companies will be far kinder to a standard 1.6 that they will with a modified 1.1

The 1.6 HDi diesel is a good option. Remaps from 110bhp to 148bhp and this brings over 240lbft of torque to the party as well.

That would be true if my car was standard with no modifications but it already has full widebody kit and getting this done to another car would be even more expensive so i think it still would be the best option to go for the conversion.

That's fair enough. In that case you probably will find dropping in a petrol engine simpler than converting to diesel.
