Hi new on here and looks good. Got myself a 320d compact replaced quite a few suspension parts due to failure, should i look at poly bushes anywhere. was thinking about the front wishbone rear bush with offset and wonder what thoughts are on the offset to increase castor. ?

Greetings and welcome to our TorqueCars forum :)

In some instances the fitting of poly bushes can help to firm up the suspension and make the handling a little more taunt. It can also increase the vibration from the engine and move it further in to the cabin. You can adjust castor which will help with the cornering BUT, this needs to be done carefully due to the increased wear on the tyres. I would suggest that you just take the car now you have replaced certain suspension components; to a specialist center and have the car geometry set up properly. Make sure you explain what it is you want first, straight line stability or handling through the twisties etc.

I don't think poly bushes are a good idea on the BMW setup, the wishbones are pretty well designed and adding in poly bushes will just cause premature wear IMO. A good set of rubber bushes will make a difference if the old ones are really worn.

As T9 says, you can have straight line stability OR cornering or a bit of both.
