Corsa Diesel Engine Oils

I recently purchased a Vauxhall Corsa 1.3 TDCI,
I am unsure what is the best engine oil to use,must it be diesel specific,mineral,synthetic,5w30 0r 40 perhaps?

I would say a synthetic is a must but I'm not sure between a 0w30 and 5w30 really - I'll see if I can get a definitive answer for you.

Waynne thanks for the reply,vauxhall answered my question with quote GM-LL-B-025 and the viscosity
SAE 0W-30, 5W-30 or more than 30.

I think a good 5w-40 will offer all round protection and synthetic seems to be the best for modern engines these days.

Hey - so I wasn't far off then! keep in touch and tell us about your car and how it is behaving or misbehaving. I bet you get stonking economy out of it. What are its performance stats?
