Some cars are particularly fussy with regards to spark plugs. My own chariot dislikes plugs which cost nearly 3 times more than the ones in the engine right now :confused:
 
I use NGK Iridium

FYI multi earth plugs will only produce 1 spark at a time and not spark to all earth electrodes at the same time.
 
I had the 528i fitted with Denso Iridium plugs - these are single earth electrode type rather than the BMW (Bosch) ones with four earth electrodes. No discernible difference in performance, price similar and both types rated to last 80,000 miles in that engine.
