boost pressure test

So I have done a boost pressure test and have fixed all the leaks. However I have found i am getting a small amount of air through the dip stick.

I'm pretty sure what you are all going to say but what do you think is causing this?

its a natural leak mate. very common to cause issues when you brake the dipstip, you can also try a replacement see if it leaks could just be the seal worn

I was more worried about why their is air pressure in my sump. Hoping it’s not the piston rings.

you have pressure in the crankcase - the broken dipstick can cause some big boost leaks and bigger issues with the plastic falling into the sump- take the oil cap off and youll feel the pressure as well - this may well cause an EMC light to come on

most is this pressure is vented back into the intake through the PCV system, its very common for these pipes to split - see herbs thread as he had problems with one of these bursting
