Hi Daryl - your our first Porsche owner. Friend of mine had a 2004 911 Turbo and crashed it in the wet within 2 weeks - he waited months for it to arrive.

I'll get a porsche section going - do you think that porsche owners are into modding their cars? Let us know what you've done to yours or send us some photographs.

yes, i own a 1986 porsche targa, and im highly interested in modding it.... so far all of done is exhaust, stripped it out (removing ac, radio, carpet, sound proofing, arm rests, everything that weighed anything...) its also been chipped and has a ducktail. thats all i have done to it so far. but right now im working on replacing all the panels with the widebody turbo panels, all carbon fiber, all non painted. then im doing the suspension and brakes, then wheels and tires, gonna run 225/45/17 in the front and 315/35/17 in the back... and then finally im going to drop a 96-98 3.6l engine from a 993. which will make about 330 horsepower after tuning and exhaust, chip, airbox, etc... and the car will weigh in at about 2300 lbs... right now it weighs 2500lbs.

haha. Went thru my last set of tires in under 6 monthes. Put somewere around 9k miles in under 6 monthes. Then the fun began to be that of an idiot. Every Saturday night some friends and I would go drive 120 everywere on the highways and I would slide around most corners..... After 2 monthes of this we got pulled over, we were doing 130 in a 35... This was on a highway and most of it is 45 but this spot is construction during the day so its its very secluded. Luckily one of the drivers who is a girl knows all the cops, so instead of going to jail we all got 215 dollar tickets. I've moderated and toned down
my fun since then.
 
Nice car it really looks the business. Are you talking KM or MPH? Like PGarner says you got away lightly with that one!
