accord engin swap

Thinking of putting a 2.2 litre engine out of a Honda accord type-r into my 1.8 accord! what sort of price are we lookin at for the job to be done profesionaly?? and any wise words before i attempt it??? thanks

I jusge that from the absense of a reply people do not rate your chances. When I looked this up there was 1 civic with a 1.8 to 2.2 conversion but it was a rebuild of almost every aspect of the car. Have you gone ahead with this? What mods have you done so far? Wouldn't a supercharger like the one on the ariel atom be a better bet? (cheaper and more fun!)

I have no experience with this car, but going from a similar perspective as the Xsara engine into a Saxo, it would put the car off balance and make it handle poorly.

the sugestion is fine its still and accord engine ur just uping the liter like a pug 16v into a pug quicksilver, the conversion should cost about 2000 but if u know alot fo machinics u can fine it alot cheeper then banter with them
