A3 trip computer is dead.

I think my trip computer is dead. The screen still works and indicates if doors are open but there is no other display of MPG etc! GAAAH! Hope it fixes itself like all the other faults.

Any ideas chaps? Might try disconnecting the battery but this messed up the drive for a couple of hundred miles last time and it took me ages to reset the clock, radio and electric window settings etc.

Today it started working again. It was raining and miserable and as I turned on the ignition the trip computer rebooted!

So my self repairing Audi strikes again, first the door light which wouldn't go out, then a rattle in the passenger door and now the trip computer all self repaired! I'm liking the Vorsprung Durk Technic!

hit it with a hammer if that doesnt work you need a bigger hammer
fathers having the a similer prob with their astra it cut out last night
i had to tow them 2 miles so that the recovery truck would recover them free as wanted a charge for home pick up. hes been told it was the battery now i disconnected his battery and connect jump leads directly to the contacts and jumped it from my car nothing but the solinoid ticking away

Anybody had anything similer
