I currently have a 306 2.0 Cabby.

I am wanting to put the 3.0 from the 406 into it, but I am having trouble finding information about the conversion.

Now the engines can be obtained for £200-500 it hopefully wouldn't be to expensive either I have access to a workshop and not shy with the spanners.

Anyone has done it or knows someone who has would be good to here from you.
Just information about engine mounting, ecu, wiring and gearbox would be very helpful.

Regards.

Alex.

You would probably need custom engine and gearbox mounts making. You will also need the ECU and wiring loom from the car you are taking the engine out of. It will need splicing to your original wiring. You will also probably get away with using the gearbox from the donor car too as long as space in your engine bay isn't limited. I like your idea but the work involved can get pretty hectic.I'm no expert an the advice I give you is only of my opinion of what would need doing. You'd prob need the fuel pump from the V6 as well as a few other bits. Also note that the insurance will rise dramatically.
