When I rebuilt my 1991 Range Rover 3.9 L. engine, I installed pistons with lower compression ratio, to enable better running on cheap gasoline we are all forced to use these days. Now, I am thinking of doing similar or same thing with my 2004 Land Rover Discovery 4.6L, lowering compression ratio so it will run better on same low octane fuel. Does anyone have better ideas about how this could be done, running on 86 octane? I welcome all suggestions and thoughts on this issue.
