Hey everyone whatsup, I had a question about a 1995 z28 camaro, I have minor mods on it right now such as, moroso cold air intake, mass airflow sensor, 160 degree thermostat, flowmaster super 44s, 3 inch stainless pipes off the manifold, hypertech power performance tuning and a TCI hotrod transmission shift upgrade in it. However I have heard from some people i have had the pleasure of working with that you can make more power by doing simple changes to the factory settings... I guess it is kind of hard to explain but I am sure if soeone reads this who has done simple mods on their 1995 z28 they can help me out.

-Thanks

It sounds like they mean timing. If you advance the timing a few degrees you should make more power. Which engine does it have fitted? Is it an electronic ignition?

Should be the 5.7L V-8 and I'm not sure if you can advance the timing on that motor . If you do make sure that you start running a minimum of 91 octane fuel. I adjusted the timing on my 95 F250 pickup and it netted approx. 3-5 hp also gave me a little more top end power. What you have done is impressive and I don't think that any "home" mods will do anything further than what you have already done.

You have the LT1 5.7 (Gen II small block). If it's still running the original engine.
As a suggestion for tuning parts a look around the online summitracing catalogue should be of some help.
Granatelli Motorsport are a good source too.
There's also sdpc2000.com for stock parts.

Here's a tuning article:-

For dedicated tuning try:-

Don't know this guy so it's not a recommendation:-

You have already tried the hand-held programmers. So the next step would be to inquire about LT1 software tuning programmes.
