Somethings wrong, even if its 'some other fuel type' the RS runs perfectly fine on BP 95 octane (I didn't even stick in the premium as its £stupid). I was tempted to drop Shell an email tbh, as somethings not right.

The R36 Passat was defiantly a decent sleeper... most didn't know what it was and thought it was just any normal Passat. With Launch Control on the DSG and short gearing though with the Engine and Gearbox tune it was managing 4.7/sec to 60 and 13.21/sec 1/4 mile at its best results (low fuel)...

I always rev-match a manual car, but I don't heel-n-toe. Daily I drove an auto though, so its not really an option!

My C63 AMG was off the road for just over 3 months having warranty work completed... good old Mercedes. I got that fed-up of waiting and kicked that much of a fuss they eventually replaced the car! So technically, the first one never went back on the road!

The new A class has to be a good option for the premium hatch.. and oh my does it sound good in A45 AMG form! That said - the A3/S3/RS3 are all very good premium cars in my experience as much as others havn't had much luck with VAG lately.

I'm going to go with it being to do with the pad compound. The stock Audi/Brembo pads always score the disc. They did on the RS6 and they did on the RS4. Oddly though the AP racing discs with Ferodo DS2500 pads i've got on the 6 now, don't seem to suffer the same fate.

Always had a soft spot for the Mk4 V6 4motion. Unfortunately the closest I ever got to owning one was a Mk4 V5! This should be a proper sleeper with a turbo. Most will look at it like an old Mk4 Golf, and have no idea its got power and 4wd!

This is exactly the same as the RS6, made even more annoying by the fact its Quattro. It's far better off or in sport as whilst there will be a little wheel slip under WOT, its minimal and the Quattro centre diff generally moves it between front and rear well enough to provide decent forward motion.

The RS6 ESP is really really intrusive in the fully on position. It starts taking away huge chunks of power even with the slightest hint of wheel slip... its actually annoying when coming out of junctions sharpish. It's far better in Sport which deactivates the ASR and EDL but leaves the safety...

Really nice motor, as said above - proper wolf in sheep clothing these, and I've always had a soft spot for the 20V-T engine.

I tend to prefer 0-100mph as a better benchmark of actual performance. You can achieve 0-60 in a relatively quick time compared to the real-world performance of a car with short gearing, dual clutch transmissions, launch control etc. My Passat R36 was very quick to 60mph being DSG with launch...
