    if anybody is planning on using methanol please dont forget to wear your race suits as the marshals might not know what fuel u are using. a methanol flame is not so easy to detect your are most likely to feel it before you see it

    it will on be bouncy on circuits where roads may not be level. and when u change gears on a straight a stiffer suspension will prevent the nose of the car from diving

    your best would be to use a product like loctite thread lock and bolts and studs from ARP these products are designed to do the job. there may be a torque setting for bearing caps be careful do not over tighten rather use torque wrench .

    Torque Converters

    A torque converter provides a variable gear ratio and acts as a an automatic clutch. i believe that it is more effecient at low rpm as engine gains speed the increase in torque is reduced and latter there is no increase in torque. i dnt no auto box so well

    listen to the engine note. if the dail moves up and down during idle(hunting) or take it for a dyno run and read the graph to see if the power is different to the manufactures quoted power

    the suspension should be stiff all round and the base of the car should be level and the car should be lowered. this will allow you to launch quickly, to change gears without your car bouncing to much and u get better braking stability

    toe slightly out will increase the tire contact area during acceleration as the front tires will pull themselves back to 0 toe position . 0 camber will also stablise your car on the straits and positive castor will also improve straight line stability.

    never really thought about cryogenic treatment for sideshafts. usually we do this on engine parts which experience lots of friction. Thanks for the info and advise I WILL use it once i modify my car

    whats up wayyne .my car is standard . im still in school. i have a holiday job at a performance shop and i work as a pit crew member on racedays and this exposes me 2 a lot of drag racing . i wil mod my car next year and also start racing next year.

    Trackbite is the name of the fluid. It provides great grip when launching. Its aplid by briefly spinningthe tires on the fluid. This fluid is 100% legal at race tracks nd works best when warm nd on soft compound tires and is commercialy available

    using methanol wil allow u 2 boost higher after dropping compression if your car is turbo. for NA motors you cam raise compression for more power . knocking is also prevent with methanol.

    it requires u 2 double up injector sizes and fuel pressure . larger fuel pums would b good 2 keep pressure constant. a seperate fuel map will b needed for racing. allways drain the methanol after use.

    out in SA ive seen cars using water injection systems and it works well. its more of an anti-knock system but comes with bonuses such as cooling intake charge(more power) . it works well on turbo or high compression motors nd can even squirt methanol
