    Should wheel lugnuts be lubed?

Aluminium oxidation, just doesn't like any other metals, actualy if you come across aluminium in it's raw state you will see that builds up a white chalky coat. "Yes I know not very technical I know. But you know what I mean. It covers the alloy and sets like glue. Especially on a thread with...

    Should wheel lugnuts be lubed?

I do have a point!! If you took the car to kwick fit, you don't get professional working on your car. Not realy, you get a tyre fitter who has a certificate. If you go to say aston martin, then you know tge jobs been done properly by someone who has a passion for cars.;)

    Should wheel lugnuts be lubed?

All im saying, is its not necessarily being done correctly, to the spec thats being questioned, your average service center won't take into account that the wheel nuts are lubricated or not and adjust the torque settings on his gun, he will spin them up the same weather its your skyline or the...

    Should wheel lugnuts be lubed?

Well if you'd used the correct amount of copper grease, and had set the torque wrench to the correct setting as you described earlier, this would not have happened, also if you're working on car at home, why even use a wheel brace, they never fit very well. U usually end up jumping on it or...

    Should wheel lugnuts be lubed?

When was the last time you had a wheel come off ? Its not formula 1, but don't forget to use barrier cream, the last thing u need is dermatitis.

    Should wheel lugnuts be lubed?

Wow this is getting way to technical, come on guy's its just a wheel nut. Don't need a torque wrench or a calibrated wheel gun, / tungsten carbide left hand Newton processor. Just a bit of copper grease and dont over tighten them. Thats it. Old school. |B

    Should wheel lugnuts be lubed?

A blob of the old copper grease, is usually good for just about anything when reassembling, just dont go mad with it.;)

Car clunk during gear change, transmission light is on, would changing gearbox oil fix this problem?

Well yes depends on how much oil is actually in it, could be that the drive shaft is not quite in. I had this on a astra Cdti. Shaft was in enough to drive, but after a while it popped out, not completely out. But enough to not engage. I thought gearbox had gone. Dont know how good you are with...

Car clunk during gear change, transmission light is on, would changing gearbox oil fix this problem?

Ye definitely try changing gear oil before you spend $$$ on it. Also make sure you use the manufacturers own oil. Dont just get it from halfords just because it is the same grade. It shouldn't be much more expensive. dealership's aren't as bad anyanymore.

auxiliary fan air. box 206gti 180

Well after a lot of research, I can honestly say that unless its turbocharged,or supercharged, an induction kit on my car will do diddly squat expect sound nice, lower end torque is comprised, and will only see any gains at higher rpm, + would need to be doing at least 100mph before air is...

Whats the best way to ruin an engine

 Did you know there's a steel seal potion engine, and it guarantees to fully referbish your engine by coating it with a thin layer of criptonite !!!!
