Thanks for the heads up TC , but they were the first people I tried, there hopeless. The problem with classics is , they MUST be kept the same as they left the factory or you don't get top dollar, at present mine insured at an agerrd price of £25,000 but will sell at auction for closer to double.

Re-built the exhaust on the classic but forgot, oops, to weld the centre box back on, tut tut, still, she sounds like a V8 should now & with a fuel cat on the fuel line its still mot legal ! Nice.....

if wheels were kept to a max of 17" with 40 profiles, then that would suit all.

If the gearing's right then small means fast, look at F1 or top fuelers.

A Willy's of course, preferably a1940 to 1945, 50-50 weight distribution very easy to totally strip & rebuild great fun to drive, only draw back, 3 speed box. ( I think ).

Why do people fit massive rims & low profiles or the other side of the coin, smaller rims & higher profiles.
