    Favourite Motorsport?

Motors TV (413 on Sky) is the place for WRC, coverage is pretty hit and miss but that's how it's always been with rallying, if you're lucky you may even see some Irish rallying mkII Escorts but it's catching them when they're on that's the problem

a couple from me, another from bathurst in the Australian TCC http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1zgIwRpKNCY&feature=related and this is a drifting vid that I saw a while ago, it shows how they do what they do. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pLRZp5sT3AA

    Favourite Motorsport?

I wholeheartedly agree with this, touring car racing in general offers by far the best spectacle in motorsport, F1 is boring and has been since Ayrton Senna died. After that happened everything changed for the worse. Truck racing is pretty awesome but it is just 10 laps of crashing and not...

    BMW Vision EfficientDynamics

Well said HDi, I saw an article about this in a magazine a few months ago, the body panels are free floating from the structure of the car channeling air around it to get that excellent drag coefficient and I have to admit to liking the "post Chris Bangle" direction Beemer are taking, this is...

    Front Fog Light Suggestions

I have to agree with Stamford, aftermarket fog lamps look a bit gay and just add weight, not so much that the rejuvinated beast won't be able to cope but aesthetics are also important. Do the whole lot in mesh or make space for the original ones in the bumper.

    Tuning tips: Carbon fibre driveshafts

The shaft for rear and all wheel drive cars that travels the length of the car is the prop shaft, the rest are called drive shafts.

Re: Fantasy Island Time - What piece of equipment would you really like in your garag I read somewhere that they use members of the film crew to act as potential buyers for their cars, is that true?

what is the best car to mod that is cheap to insure. look at it from a young driver

Re: what is the best car to mod that is cheap to insure. look at it from a young driv Talking of small unknown early turbo cars, the Daihatsu Charade GTti fit's quite nicely in that catagory I think, a 1.0ltr turbo that puts out about 100bhp in a tiny little body that no one really knows exists

    Fiesta Zetec S

Fords of that era are definitely prone to a bit of tin worm, rear arches, sills and boot floor are all susceptable to it, the worst part is it's always a structural part that rots causing an MOT failure.

what is the best car to mod that is cheap to insure. look at it from a young driver

Re: what is the best car to mod that is cheap to insure. look at it from a young driv I've never seen a proper EK type R, they're as rare as rocking horse poo If I see a BZ-G around I'll try and snap a pic, there's one inparticular that's spotless and tastefully modded, quick too.

How do you turn your car off?

I've always given my cars a little blip before switching it off, I honestly don't know why. It was something my Dad used to do with his old cars which is why I think Yugguy is onto something cause if the old man knew nothing else, he knew his cars.

Does your mood affect your driving?

I try not to let my emotions get in the way of my driving but some days it's harder than others, on Tuesday driving down a double white lined road, a homotorcyclist overtook me crossing the lines. He overtook two other cars and then decided he'd stand up, let go of the controls and sort his...

Cheers T9, as you can probably tell I've been enjoying the conversations we have here, so much so I've racked up 1000 posts in less than 6 months, hopefully I've not annoyed too many people in the process. Here's to the next 1000!,

    Pump up tyres

Errr, that's the same as normal air isn't it? how would you get your tyres filled with nitrogen in the first place, must it be done by a specialist? I ask because here at work we have nitrogen cylinders and I was thinking I might pilfer a little bit

    Pump up tyres

I rely on fuel stations because I don't have a compressor at home or at least not one man enough to do tyres to 30/35psi, I do though check them every week when I fill up. At 50p a time though I can see the sense in buying a small comprssor for the job.

I think it is disgusting, the way the the upper parts of the hierachy believe that we will just accept whatever measures they put in place to to try and lessen the debt we have hanging over us, of course it was their fault we are in this mess in the first place, letting banks run wild throwing...

Questions to ask a car seller

That's a mantra to live by that TN, I Managed to get my Accord for £1900, it was advertised for £2250 but there were a few things that needed attention and a couple of dings in the bodywork, the only other question to ask is "Can I take it for a test drive?" if you get out alone then check the...

    Launch Controll! Yeah Baby!

That was also true of the Nissan GTR, if you used it's launch control to often and buggered the clutch and transaxle it wasn't covered under warranty and it would've cost an absolute fortune to replace, they fixed the problem last year though so now it's better than ever and everything is...

My Dad used to have a Fiat Strada Abarth, the first time I saw it I ran away it was so ugly! Modifying a 1999 Accord

Another Battle in the War against the Motorist

Thanks Waynne, I agree, the matter is far too subjective to just fine people on the spot, cynically, I think these new powers will just be an excuse to pull over and fine anybody they like for the income it generates. It was said a little while ago that the police have to make cuts...
