What is the largest capacity engine you've ever owned?

Perhaps you'd prefer to rate your engines on power instead of capacity which is fine by us.

Mine was a 2.0 TFSi turbo which put out 225bhp.

Maybe one day I'll own something of the 4.0 liter mark! I'll stick with my nippy little 1.4 for now! 150bhp from something quite light must be better than 200bhp from something twice as heavy! I might work this out one day and see where the power/weight balance is.

Those Jeeps are really solidly built @claymore a friend of mine has just bought one and it's a monster on wheels. He takes it off road as well and uses it properly.

Biggest capacity was a 2.8 V6 lump in my old 1986 Lancia Thema. It was actually a Volvo engine with a measly 170hp but lots of low end torque gave a satisfying push. Biggest power was my R33 Skyline with a 2.6 straight 6 this time with 2 turbos. A few breathing mods let it make 380hp on the dyno, well within the capabilities of a RB engine.

A 5.2 litre (iirc) Mustang 1976 model: it was RUBBISH lol. My Mk1 Escort is quicker and doesn't drive like a galleon.

I really must at some point own a proper V8- I've always loved the sound. Alas they are quite rare in the UK, and as a result expensive to run.

have not been on here much recently and just popped on and this was a current topic I had not seen.
biggest motor was a 6.3 V8 challenger engine in a jensen intercetor
Most power the stagea which wayne has done a couple articles/features on .
Last dynod circa 735 with full boost by 4000rpm

That Dyno figure keeps going up. Time for me to update those features isn't it.

I bet the 6.3 Challenger block sounded great.

Hi there I once had a limited edition 3.2 Granada in my youth.i remember facing wrong way on a roundabout.my introduction to rear wheel drive

With great power comes great responsibility!

Those Capris were even worse for spinning out. At least the Granada had some weight.

Not seen a Granada in many years now.
