Engine Swap

Hi everyone i´m new here . hope you can help . Here is my problem, got a vectra x16xel engine to put in a tigra that had a x14xe wanted to use only the botom end with the loom ecu and manifold from x14xe has anyone made such a swap???

Why not go the whole hog and do the x16xel head as well? Have you checked that the coolant and oilways match up on the head/block?

To be fair mate, why not got the bigger "whole hog" and put a 1.6 Turbo into it, or even the C20XE redtop engine is a good conversion for a Tigra.

thanks for the replies, I,m from portugal big blocks are hard to find here, from what i`ve seen in other forums both blocks are identical they even share the same head, but the intake from x14xe better there for i will use the x16xel block and head ported and polished, the intake from x14xe as well as the gear box using x14 xe loom and ecu becouse the curve is better, will update fuel injectors and fuel pump hopping to achieve 140 bhp got pics from the work in progress.
