Best sports saloon for £5000

What is the best sports saloon around for £5000?

It would get you a decent 190E Cosworth, a Sapphire Cossie and there are a fair few BMW in this bracket too? I'm sure there are loads more out there for this money.

A mate of mines, bought a Sapphire Cossie. It was in the need of alot of work but it still drove which was the main thing. He ended up getting rid of it due to the lack of money but even £3000 would have sorted out all problems with it

For looks, yeah, go for one of the BMW's.

I would go for the EVO but they are still really a bit hardcore as a saloon though,

I think the BMW e36 m3 saloon falls into the £5000 price braket now and would be my overall choice, plus you can get the m3 csl style air box for them and it make them sound awesome,

Torque Steer hell mixed with 1980's big car handling

I'd still buy a 9-5 HoT,

really nice cars and can be had for next to nothing, and if you spend a little money on them you can take away the torque steer and make the most of the uber speed,
