Hi guys. Been a while lol ;) But from a request or 2 I am popping up a build thread of my Vectra GSi. Now for those that know me will know I am a Vauxhall man at heart. Had a couple of scoobies but never again! lol. Plus, i'm a buggar for not being able to resist a bit of modding. This time is no exception and is probably the furtherst I have ever taken a V6 engine and i'm not quite finished yet hehe. There are 3 main things left but will list those later in the post. After getting fed up of the last Subaru costing a fortune to run, I decided to go back to Vauxhall and as I was using the Scooby to part ex, the ball was in my court for being able to find a special one. Didn't take me long to settle for an ex-press car (1 of 9...
Sorry for not coming to the forums - I've been pretty busy lately. Among other things, I've been giving my ride a little pimpin'! I finished modifying it some days ago. I painted two racing stripes, put some black plastic covers in the rear lights (removed those crappy 80% black window tints it had before - wonder how thankfully no car managed to smash my car's butt), put three measuring gauges in the left panel (oil pressure, vacuum and volts), front strobe lights (useful for 12am+ driving in da city), window rain guards for front windows, replaced the gear knob, among other modifications. Also, someone managed to steal my ride's toolbox in the process. These are a few pics from the process. I'll take pics of the finished...

This is my 2001 Volkswagen GTI 20V 1.8T 5 Speed Manual. I bought this car in September 2011 from another Volkswagen enthusiast who had this car tuned for his wife, who really did not need or want anything more than an average car to transport herself to and from work. She really disliked the fact that it was so low, and pushed her husband to sell it and buy her an average sedan and leave it the hell alone. The car came with the following mods: Shaved head Supposedly bored over to 2.0, though some folks disagree and I have not yet inspected the cylinder walls APR diverter valve Eurojet airlines K&N filter & short ram intake / Neuspeed heat shield Remapped ECU to compensate for the said mods FK Silverline coilovers - lowered to 1.25''...
This is a direct copy and paste from another forum. It is the complete project so far of the UK's only super legnum VR4 in red. And so it begins: May 28th 2010 is where it all started, when i took ownership of what was to become the best love story ever told  A girl and her car. Yup thats right my new toy/project has now landed on my drive way, and oh boy do i have my work cut out for me on this baby! It is a 1998 Super Legnum VR4. Like a standard VR4, i has the twin turbos, AYC and full time 4WD, so yes it will be a thursty gal! it is a far cry from my V6 Galant, but hey, time change and we all need to move on, though i think im now suffering "shell shock" from what i have just gone and done!:huh...
i purchased a 1981 datsun bluebird about 4 years ago, it was a humble auto GX sedan. i got hold of some TRX rims cheap, so on they went. then i got a set of twin 1 3/4 su carbs and some light work to the head and cam to the L20B, and also converted it to manual, with some big dramas due to the floor pan the difference was quite substantial, so i had to make custom gearbox mounts. for some tunes i have two amps, 600 and 1000 watts a 12 inch sub and 5 speakers. i took it off the road about a year ago to do some minor bodywork, and that soon changed to an engine overhaul (ca18de) and upgraded suspension dropped about 1 3/4 inches and also some S13 ca18 rims, with a 25 mm swaybar from an R31 skyline and soon to have twin swaybars at the...
hello all, bare with me on this as i tend to go off on a tangent and get giddy with the camera:|, will get as much info in as possible, and reason behind the pics taken, might just help some of you out one day :shock:or you may just help me out by pointing out the mistakes i make:oops:. everything that i post is basically what im learning as i go as i have never worked on or been inside a subaru in my life until i bought this one. so illl do the best i can.:???:, ill get the pics up in between working, doing a bit on the car( with the little daylight i have left each day after work), researching modification options:mrgreen: and being dad to my kids:shock:.

Once this is done i will have the car fully paint corrected to remove all imperfections and give it...
Ok where to start?! ha the car about 5ish years. Ran it as a daily for 5 or so. Then things went mental lol So here she is Stock bar a magnex exhaust. Well here's the replacement for the MG ZS, she's a 1995 UK spec 1.8iS 5 with a confirmed 69,000 miles on the clock, 2 lady owners the last being a MX-5 OC member from new & full service history from new including all the receipts & MOT's. The sills have been repaired in the past but have been done to a good standard. The paint work is good for a 17 year old car but could do with a little tidy up although I am thinking of a respray in Honda pearl white. I love the OEM wheels & they are in good nick but I will get them refurbed this winter. Some quick pics... Engine the right way round & proper wheel drive. :amuse: Sticker on the slam panel confirms cam belt was done 2010 at 67,000 miles. Full tool kit...

Well after a few months searching in Japan I have finally found my new work car. Main thing is that it needs to be a hatchback and ideally a wagon and I wanted something different. I had considered quite a few cars then found a special edition model that suited my purpose but was quick. Unfortunately this meant it was quite rare and took a few months to locate. But after a few months I found one at a well trusted Japanese dealer I have used before . so after a bit of negotiating I am now the owner of.......................... Well it will be here in about 8-10 weeks and hopefully it will be worth the wait as it may well be the first of this model in the UK Will post a few more pics and full spec but just for now a taster
PART 1 Thought I would share the basket case I got . Its a 1999 Jaguar XKR in a bit of a sorry state, does not look too bad in this first picture, was already modified to a certain degree They never look too bad in pics, this one had a bad paint job, a blown engine and the worst interior combo I could ever want, even the engine bay was a mess :(, but quite low mileage @ 50K The first thing I did was pull the engine, I then stripped it down to every last nut ‘n bolt, this is what I found, I actually had 3 pistons like these :sad2: Luckily the bores were saved by there nikasil coating, a testament to how strong that stuff is when you consider the state of the pistons! I rebuilt the engine stroking...
Hey guys. As promised I'm starting a thread on one of my other projects. This time it's a 1992 Mitsubishi GTO TT She is my first and most certainly not the last! As up until last week I had 5 of these, for my sins, 2 were NA auto and one of them got sold to a friend who is now discovering what an ass raping feels like good job it's only a NA! Back to J Tec. Im not sure how long i will have this car, if it has come to me for the dire TLC it was in need of to be then sold back on or if it is one that will stay in the ever growing collection of classic J-Tin. Either way, it is here with me and a step in the right direction. This long story starts back to around the last week or two of July 2015. Rob (my other half) was looking on a FB...
For those that don't know, the Ibiza Cupra runs the 1.8t from the VAG range, but from factory only has a tiny turbo and conservative map, running only 156bhp. I bought this as a Stage 1 with a fairly aggressive map, exhaust, large air filter and several bypasses done running 185bhp. It's also lowered on H&R Cup Kit, and was on 17" O.Z Superturismos. Pictures from the advert. I've got myself a new job, a new girl and yesterday, I got this: *EDIT: fixed the image* 2000, 140bhp, 125lb-ft, 127mph. A slight step up from the 1.4 8v Fabia, I feel :-D You may be seeing a little more of me around these parts! Hope you've all been well!

not advertising a job just want some advice. I would like to make my Toyota corolla into a 10 second car yet still have a nice interior. I understand losing weight will most likely have to come into play and I'm not objecting to that. the most car work I have had to do to a car is change out the CV axles on a Honda Accord 1998. really have no clue as to where I need to start with this car. any and all advice is appreciated. car 2008 Toyota Corolla LE engine model is 1zz-fe 4 cylinder.
So you decided to tackle a car project? Well well, you have the space, but all those bits 'n pieces will eat up your working space in a jiffy. My project is now turning out into a full garage re-think, re-vamp project. Make sure you utilise every bit of space to it's fullest. You can use the trusses to store, BUT go easy on the weight. You don't want your roof landing on your pride and joy. I've made a workbench with storage space and fitted castors to it, like one giant toolbox. Cost was zero, built it from scrap bits and it works well. Got to get this finished before Spring so I can carry on with my Escort. The Jetta and Bantam will follow for their transplants after the 'Scort.
Hey guys, it's been a long while since I've been on the forums. Last time I was here I asked you what direction I should take my car. You guys offered your suggestions and I've made my decisions. Thinking of getting myself a ford focus 2.0 tdci zetec. Around 05/06. Firstly, is there anything i need to look out for when i'm veiwing (the cars in my price range have around 90-100k on the clock. Secondly, what can i do to mod the car. I want to keep it as my daily drive so i need to keep the drivability and economy. I'm unsure about what suspension mods i can do to it, anyone have any knowledge of this? After i've bought the car i'm going for a remap. Got a good price from Celtic (recommended by Paul) Are there any other engine mods that will give some decent power and torque gains?
Hey guys, just a quick update on the Fabia : Brembo Supermax discs have now been fitted front and rear along with the matching Supermax pads, at the same time Goodrich stainless braided hoses were fitted and Brake fluid changed. Braking is now intense. June 29th sees the making of a new Turbo back exhaust, made by Tony Banks in Leeds, this will be 65 mm pipework, a 200 cell cat a resonator and muffler. June 30th sees the girl hitting the rolling road at JBS car designs in Chesterfield for a full custom remap (stage 2) hoping for around 155 to 160 hp. Following this at the earliest opportunity I will have vents fitted into the bonnet to allow some of the extra heat out, and the calipers need painting, later some attention to a couple...

Hey all, Right... I have been a member almost a year now and none of you have seen my 'Ride', well that's about to change... I am sure your thinking... " Why is starting a project thread? He hasn't passed his test! " I haven't, no. But I can't see why that should stop me? I'd mainly like to cover a few bits and bobs, mainly cosmetic at the moment. Eventually when I do pass, I'll start the tuning. Okay... So here she is

So here I am again with another project. The last time it was a Post Apocalyptic Chrysler that exploded immediately after passing an MOT. And this time it is a 206 (That I swore I would keep nice) However, it passed an MOT and lasted more then a week... so now I'm most likely going to bugger it up. The car in question is a 2002 Peugeot 206 CC 2.0l. (Yes it is a hairdressers car, but I do cut my own hair... so :p ) I intend to try a Cyberpunk style as I really like the aesthetic of it all. Not quite sure how to go about it just yet. Anyhoo, I will keep you all updated as I inevitably mess up a perfectly functioning car. |B
Well, I couldn't help myself when I found this score; Universal Intercooler 600wX300hX115thick (core sizes wider with the caps) on Ebay to add to my parts list for the Turbo setup I want to put in my; 95' VS 3.8l V6 Ecotec Holden Commodore. I'm not sure if there's many VS's getting around with turbo's. There would be some with Super charger setups but not many (if any???) that run from exhaust system. This sytem will be built to a budget so I'll be making my own headers to fit the turbo's. I'm thinking stainless pipe @ 35 to 40mm?? for setion to turbo from the exhaust ports. Then 50mm down through the Ypeice. For the turbo's I have 2 TC06's but with O/sized impellers. I have 1 ready with a 50/70 impeller + housing inlet & exit...
Well, what can I say... I think Petar has a thing for pugs lol. So far theres a 205 CJ cabby that is having the beasty Mi16 engine fitted into along with all suspension, looms, box, bumpers, brakes, interior etc. Then theres the 205 diesel which the Mi16 is coming out of. Then theres the cool rare 205 Rallye which is havin gthe original engine rebuilt and having twin 40 carbs fitted with roll cage, coil overs, pug sport straight through exhaust plus loads more. Oh and last but not least the latest addition, the 306 Cabby which is having the engine replaced with a 306 S16 engine (the later 2.016v) with a 306 GTi6 6 speed gearbox, Mi16 wheels, suspension brakes etc. So good couple of projects going on here. I have a few piccies of the...

So this is the very first post in what should be a long, but enjoyable project! First off, let me give you a bit of background into the car! I have currently owned the Clio for 2 years, loved every single minute of it. However, it has now come to the stage where I am looking for some more power. I have considered many options, but decided with some persuasion from a close friend of mine, that the Turbo route is the best. Looking at some of the kits offered by KTec and Engine Dynamics, I have decided to build my own kit based around these. As I am hoping for around 280 - 300bhp, I realise that some internal components will need to be uprated (Wossner pistons, PEC rods). I hope to keep this updated as much as possible! I hope...
The contents of this Thread may cause Offence. Reader Discretion is Advised! So I had probably better start this thread by explaining what I'm doing with this car, why and what I've done so far. Atomic Gwen The reason for this name is a simple one. My number plate is AT-- GWE and this is a post apocalyptic build. So "Atomic Gwen" seemed to fit nicely. The Reason Behind the Build Since my Dad first sat me down to watch the original Mad Max film, I've been hooked on the Post Apocalyptic/ Wasteland aesthetic. Eventually I started building Rat Bikes and even came 4th and 5th in a custom build show with two that I had made. After some time building, I found out about a post apocalyptic festival in Buckinghamshire called...
So your all expecting a Land rover or similar....... WRONG! I've only gone and defected to the dark side and bought meself a bike! Old Skool Yamaha DT125R :) Picked it up for a steal and cheap as chips to run, but also doubles up as an awesome off road toy for the weekends. I only live 20mins from a site with a mx track and enduro area, so would be rude not to use it, even if the road spec suspension is a bit soggy on the jumps! Has a DEP expansion pipe and Big One silencer Larger Carb Jets Carbon reeds Renthal 22mm twinwall bars and pad Black levers pro-grip bar grips LED indicators (soon to be replaced with something more subtle) Plans: RIDE IT!!!!!! gonna leave it pretty much as it is, just add a graphics...
About two years into the project thus far. (Cannot upload pix or link here yet, am very new, but many thanks @obi_waynne , for the invite to post this.) Negative ion generators are lately quite common in air conditioners, air cleaners, and other devices; these charge millions of air molecules negatively, and the results are helpful in a few ways. The most proven ways are "clumping" of dust particles for filtration efficiency and destruction of many aromatic esters (a.k.a. unpleasant smells), but many people have been more or less unscientifically claiming health benefits, due to the "invigoration" one feels of negatively charged air after a thunderstorm. Anyway, I used these things to destinkify an unpleasant basement for a few...
